  5. Bike Rodeo

    This year, the Warrenville Park District and the Warrenville Bicyclist and Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC) will co-host the eleventh annual Warrenville Bike Rodeo. There will be some fun giveaways as well as educational materials about bicycle safety. Children will have an opportunity to get their bike tuned up, ride a safety course, and have their helmets fitted. A drawing will be held and children will have the chance to win a new bicycle or helmet! Bring your old and dilapidated bikes to recycle! The Bike Rodeo is free of charge and children may register with their parent or guardian on the day of the event.

  6. Mayor's Fitness Challenge Begins!

    Mayor Brummel and the Bicyclist and Pedestrian Advisory Commission are motivating residents to get fit! On May 16, the Mayor’s Fitness Challenge returns! This program is designed to challenge residents to keep pace with Mayor Brummel by moving to your own healthy beat. The Mayor’s Fitness Challenge is designed to inspire your competitive nature and motivate you to engage in some type of physical activity each week. The goal is to log in at least 150 minutes of activity each week for eight weeks (May 16 – July 10). There is no cost and participants must be at least 12 years old. Those who complete the Challenge will receive a limited edition T-shirt. Joining the program is easy; go to the link below. As you exercise each week, don’t forget to log back into the website and record your time; you can do it weekly or daily. And remember, Mayor Brummel doesn’t just want you getting fit; he’s looking to motivate some healthy family time, so get your minutes together!
