The City of Warrenville’s water supply comes from an aquifer underground. The City obtains its water from five wells drilled throughout the town. The water contains 23 grains of hardness and Warrenville adds fluoride to the water to adhere to the Safe Drinking Water Act. The water contains 1 part per million of fluoride. Warrenville’s water is extremely safe to drink as it adheres to all Federal regulations for drinking water. Per EPA regulations, the City annually posts its water quality report, which can be viewed online. In the event of a power failure, water utilities can function with generators fueled by natural gas without interruption of service to our customers. A property’s meter gauges the amount of water utilized in the home. Current charges for water services are as follows. Invoices are sent from and paid at the Finance Department. Water Base Charge: Varies based on Meter size Utility Division personnel are available on a 24-hour basis for emergencies regarding water problems, such as water main breaks. Personnel will also assist residents in investigating and troubleshooting water concerns, free of charge. High water consumption and water quality issues are the most common concerns.
