The City Clerk is an elected official that serves as the Official Secretary to the Mayor and City Council, and is the official record keeper for the City. The City hires a Deputy City Clerk who serves in the City Clerk's absence and is also the Executive Assistant to the City Administrator and Mayor. The Clerk's office is responsible for the conduct of elections, maintenance of official City documents, and serving as a general information clearinghouse between the City and the public, federal, state, county, and local municipal offices.
