The City Council has approved a 15-year Capital Plan for Warrenville roads. The goal of this plan is to provide a long-term sustainable source of revenue for all 63 miles of City of Warrenville-maintained roads. The capital plan itself should include both road and sidewalk reconstruction and maintenance. Currently it does not include the expansion of the sidewalk or bike path system. The roads designated for reconstruction are identified based on both long-term fiscal advantage and condition of the infrastructure. Besides sidewalks and roadways, other capital projects include repair, replacement, and installation of storm and sanitary sewer infrastructure. The City Council has made a commitment to develop a plan of extending each of these systems while making sure existing structures are properly maintained. Finally, in recent years, the City has made capital improvements in the form of municipal buildings, including a new Police Station, City Hall, and Public Works facility. The buildings and grounds of these facilities must be maintained and monitored to ensure that they are adequate to provide the service level the residents expect. The 2011 Capital Improvements include the following projects:
The 2011 Road Program
