The Folk-Lore Center is one of the premier showcases in Chicagoland for folk music. Located in the City of Warrenville, this performing arts center offers concerts, lessons, workshops, and jam sessions for budding and experienced folk musicians. The Warrenville community is home to its own theater productions put on by the Acorn Community Theatre. The Theater is dedicated to performing large-scale summer musicals that cast a majority of young people. The shows give families an opportunity to have fun together. Acorn Community Theater works in partnership with the Warrenville Park District to present full-scale Broadway musicals at the Warrenville Community Building, 3S240 Warren Avenue. The Tunes of Glory Pipe Band is a bagpipe and drum band formed in 1980 in the western suburbs. Since 1994 the Band has made its home in Warrenville and holds weekly practices at City Hall on Wednesday nights.
