Warrenville’s heritage in art goes back to before its incorporation when renowned artists of the Albright family made their home and had their studio here. This tradition continues to present day with art being an important aspect of local community culture. Public art can be viewed throughout town, both inside public buildings and outside on public property. Local Warrenville artists’ work can be found at the Public Library, including pieces by Warrenville artists Adam Albright, Sheri Butler, Maurice Weiser, Alan Barbick, Nancy Carrigan, Cynthia Heinz, and Dick White. City Hall’s Warrenville Gallery features works of local artists including watercolors, oil paintings, pencil renderings, and photographs. Featured artists include Mildred Baldwin, John Sweemer, Dick White, Nancy Carrigan, Maurice Weiser, Cynthia Heinz, Monica Johnson, Mary Marzano, and Jean Stoia. Finally, the Albright Studio Historical Museum also houses original works by several prominent Warrenville artists. Local art work can be found at ClaySpace Gallery 107, 28W210 Warrenville Road or by calling 630/393-CLAY. In 2009, the residents of Warrenville formed the Warrenville Arts Council (WAC). The WAC is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to public arts programming. Their mission is to promote the awareness and appreciation of the arts in Warrenville and beyond. WAC sponsors a variety of events encompassing both visual and performing arts, drawing upon local talent as well as from the community, surrounding areas, and throughout the Midwest.
