The DuPage County Department of Transportation and Forest Preserve District of DuPage County created a trail mapping application, the DuPage Trails App, that enables users to actively navigate the County's trail system. Individuals can also check out the Illinois Prairie Path's interactive trails map .

For longer bike routes, Google Maps can be used as a guide for route planning. Once on the webpage, click on 'Directions' and enter departure and destination locations. Then click on the bicycle symbol at the top left corner of the page. Your route will be highlighted, with an estimate of the distance and time. Bike paths and bike-friendly streets will also be highlighted in green.
