For longer bike routes, Google Maps can be used as a guide for route planning. Once on the webpage, click on 'Directions' and enter departure and destination locations. Then click on the bicycle symbol at the top left corner of the page. Your route will be highlighted, with an estimate of the distance and time. Bike paths and bike-friendly streets will also be highlighted in green.
Google Maps also provides an Android app for your mobile device. The app can download a local map and can provide routing while on your route with or without an Internet connection.
Note that these routes should be used only as a guide. You must judge the suitability of the displayed route based on your experience, cycling skills, and comfort level.
