This bicycle safety event, perfect for kids, provides information related to bicycling, trails, paths, safe routes to schools, bike and vehicle safety, bicycle care, and bicycle equipment. Fun raffle prizes, like bicycles and helmets, are given away and children have an opportunity to ride a safety course. Police officers are on hand to register bicycles. This is a truly fun event that also provides invaluable safety tips for families.

Where: Warrenville Park District Recreation Center
The annual Firecracker 5K Run/Walk will include a 50-yard dash for ages 3-6 and 100-yard dash for ages 6-10. First 250 registrants receive a free t-shirt and goody bag. Course is USATF certified. Awards announced on July 4th at Cerny Park Main Stage at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit scholarships for children to participate in Warrenville Park District programs. Registration can be done in person at the Warrenville Park District, online at www.signmeup.com or entry forms can be downloaded from www.warrenvilleparks.org and dropped off or faxed to (630) 393-7282.
