Project Description: Development of an approximately eight-acre site with a gas station, including a 5,500-square foot convenience store, ten multi-product fueling dispensers that provide 20 auto fueling positions and five commercial fueling lanes, and a 2,400-square foot quick service restaurant with drive thru, associated parking, parking lot lighting, landscaping, and storm water management improvements.

Project Status: The City Council approved the Special Use Permit and Variations for Thorntons’ gas station development project on November 19, 2018, by Ordinance O2018-52 (PDF) Due to the expiration of the one-year validity period of Ordinance O2018-52, and the Applicant’s plans to pursue the development as proposed, the Applicant has requested to re-instate the approvals previously granted by Ordinance O2018-52. A new public hearing (Legal Notice (PDF)) took place before the City Council on February 18, 2020, wherein the City Council approved the revalidation ordinance O2020-08. Construction is underway.
