Project Description:
Proposed assembly and development of an approximately 3.85-acre site with a 71-unit affordable, independent senior living development, including a 78,000-square foot three-story building, 71 surface parking spaces, and associated parking lot lighting, landscaping, and stormwater management improvements.

Project Status:
At its 6-20-19 meeting, the Plan Commission forwarded a recommendation (PDF) to approve this project to City Council. On 7-1-19, the City Council  accepted the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals' recommendations and directed the City Attorney to prepare Ordinance O2019-40 (PDF) approving the preliminary plat, preliminary planned unit development special use permit, and planned unit development variations for the Alden project.
