On Friday, May 20, 2016, from 5:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m., Warrenville police officers will participate in the statewide Dunkin' Donuts Cop on Rooftop fundraising event to benefit Special Olympics Illinois athletes. Again this year, police officers will sit a-top the Dunkin’ Donuts, at 2S721 IL RT 59, Warrenville, in hopes to heighten awareness and raise money for these athletes.
Everyone who makes a donation in any amount will receive a coupon for a free donut, and anyone who donates $10 or more will receive a Dunkin’ Donuts/Law Enforcement Torch Run stainless steel travel mug and coupon for a free coffee. T-shirts and baseball caps will also be available for sale to benefit the fundraiser.
Special Olympics Illinois is a not-for-profit organization offering year-round training and competition in 19 sports for 22,003 athletes with intellectual disabilities. The organization also reaches out to 20,473 Young Athletes between the ages of two and seven, with or without intellectual disabilities.
