Posted on: March 23, 2017[ARCHIVED] Police Warn of Possible Phone Scam

The Warrenville Police Department has been in contact with the Geneva Police Department regarding a possible phone scam involving a company called, Touchdown Sports. The company has been contacting businesses in the cities of Geneva and Wheaton to solicit sponsorships on behalf of Geneva Community High School. The company claims specific coaches have asked them to contact the business for a sponsorship and then asks the business to provide credit card information.
Geneva Community High School is in no way affiliated with Touchdown Sports and has not authorized it to pursue sponsors; likewise, Community Unit School District 200 has related that they do not do business with Touchdown Sports. By all accounts, Touchdown Sports is working a scam, so please do not share your credit card information with this company.
If you should receive a telephone call from Touchdown Sports claiming to be working for either School District 200 or Geneva Community School District 304 and seeking funds for sponsorship, please contact the Warrenville Police Department at 630-393-2131.
