[ARCHIVED] Police Caution of Potential Traffic Delays this Saturday

This Saturday, Fermilab will be hosting an Open House from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in conjunction with their 50th Anniversary. The event is expected to draw nearly 20,000 guests from all over the world. While the police department has been working with Fermilab event coordinators to help minimize the impact on traffic flow, traffic delays are inevitable. Those travelling in the early morning will most likely see the highest volume of traffic, as one of two entrances to the facility is located off of Batavia Road. Since exits from the event are located west of Warrenville, exit traffic for the event should not significantly impact the City. Police ask drivers to exercise patience when travelling through the area and encourage drivers to seek alternate routes of travel.
