[ARCHIVED] Prostitution Arrest Made by Police

Prostitution Arrest Made
On Friday, October 27, 2017, at approximately 6:10 p.m., Warrenville Police conducted a joint investigation with the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office at Lin’s Massage, 3S021 IL Route 59, Warrenville.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Pingmei Xia (pictured right), 41, last known address of 230 W. 24th Street (2nd Floor), Chicago, Illinois, was arrested and charged with one Class A misdemeanor count each of Prostitution and Unlicensed Practice of Massage Therapy. The charge of Prostitution carries a maximum penalty of 364 days in the jail and a $1,500.00 fine.

Taomei Lin (owner of Lin’s Massage, pictured left), 44, last known address of 958 W. 29th Street (2nd Floor), Chicago, Illinois, was cited with four ordinance violations. Those violations included Prohibited Sleeping Quarters in Licensed Business, Knowingly Allowed Unlicensed Massage Therapy, Failing to Prominently Post a Price List Placard, and Knowingly Publishing a Deceptive Advertisement.

A City of Warrenville administrative hearing of the business license will be held at a future date and time (to be determined), in which the business license of Lin’s Massage could be revoked or suspended.
