[ARCHIVED] Possession or Use of Illegal Fireworks

Illegal Fireworks
An informational campaign has been posting on the City Facebook page and cable channel reminding residents and visitors alike that possession or use of illegal fireworks is against City Code. As part of the overall campaign efforts, Warrenville police officers have been handing out fireworks educational materials during traffic stops, and alerting motorists to enforcement and fine costs through use of the Department’s portable message board. Special enforcement of illegal fireworks is set to begin Saturday, June 30. The Police Department is encouraging everyone to leave the fireworks to the professionals, so a safe and happy Independence Day celebration can be enjoyed by all.

If you have illegal fireworks you would like to turn in to be destroyed, please contact the Police Department at 630-393-2131. A link to the City fireworks code has been provided below.
