Effective Wednesday, November 18, 2020, and until further notice, City Hall will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. City Hall will close at 1:00 p.m. weekdays, and will be closed on weekends and holidays, except as required for public meetings. The Police Department Lobby will be accessible to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and will also be closed on weekends and holidays.
The Illinois Department of Public Health recently issued new guidance urging residents to stay home and only leave for "essential activities" due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases. The City takes the health, safety, and well-being of employees, visitors, and the community very seriously.
Anyone needing to conduct business with the City is encouraged to utilize the website, email, and phone. Payments, permit applications, and other documents can be delivered using the drop-box located immediately inside the Manning Avenue entrance, at 3S258 Manning Avenue. City Hall staff will continue to be available by phone and email until the normal closing time of 5:00 p.m.
