AROUND THE CITY...

Elected Officials Reception

* When: Monday, May 1, from 6:00-7:00 p.m., City Hall Council Chambers, 28W701 Stafford Place.

* Purpose: To recognize the dedicated service of retiring City officials and welcome returning and newly elected officials.

* Time: The reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. The swearing-in ceremony will take place shortly after the start of the City Council meeting at 7:00 p.m.

* The City's Environmental Advisory Commission invites you to Arbor Day:

* Saturday, April 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Warrenville Park District, 3S260 Warren Avenue.

* Enjoy free tree giveaways, a ceremonial tree planting, door prizes, light refreshments, and an environmental fair.
