Retirement Reception Honors Ron Mentzer 

* When: Monday, May 15, from 6:00-7:00 p.m., City Hall Council Chambers, 28W701 Stafford Place.

* Purpose: To celebrate Ron's distinguished career. He retires after serving the community for nearly 30 years.

Traffic Safety Initiative May 9

* What: Warrenville Police Department will join this annual multi-agency traffic safety event. 

* When: 7:00-9:00 a.m. Friday, May 9.

* Where: Along the Route 59 corridor between Will and Cook counties. 

* Why: To encourage safe driving, focusing on dangerous habits such as distracted driving, speeding, not wearing seat belts, and red light violations.

City Resumes Battery Recycling Service

* Drop off batteries at City Hall, in the box located on the first floor, Manning Avenue entrance.

* Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
