Memorial Day Events May 29 

* 9:00 a.m. - Assumption Cemetery Memorial.

* 10:00 a.m. - Dedication outside City Hall.

* 11:00 a.m. - Warrenville Cemetery Memorial.

* 12:00 p.m. - Field of Flags viewing at the Veteran's Center, followed by a free BBQ for the entire community.

We're hiring! Emergency Management Coordinator (Part-Time).

We're Hiring: P-T Emergency Management Coordinator 

* The City seeks a candidate to coordinate disaster-planning efforts.  

* The Coordinator would be the liaison between all City departments, other municipalities and governmental districts, railroads, DuPage County Office of Emergency Management, IEMA, FEMA, and the business community.

City Offices Close May 29 

* City Hall offices will close for Memorial Day Monday, May 29. 

* Garbage collection is delayed by one day. 

* For police assistance during closed lobby hours, use the red telephone between the front doors or dial 9-1-1 from your cell phone. Police emergency response will not be affected.

City Hall Summer Hours Start June 1

* The City's summer hours program is June 1 through August 25.

* City Hall will close at noon on Fridays during that time.

* Hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

* Fridays: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Historical Society Opens Railroad Exhibit

* What: An exhibit about Warrenville’s long and dramatic railroad history.

* Where: Warrenville Historical Society, 3S530 2nd Street.

* When: Summer hours begin June 4; the museum is open Wednesdays and Sundays from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
