Veteran's Day Observances

* There is a free breakfast for veterans at Warrenville Park District from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 10.

* Ceremonies begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Veteran's Memorial next to City Hall.

D200 Schedules Parent Forum on Cybersecurity for Kids

* WHAT: Empowering Parents on How to Protect Their Children on Devices, Social Media & Gaming Platforms.

Detective Richard Wistocki, a nationally recognized High Technology Cyber Crimes Specialist, will present proactive strategies, expert insight, and invaluable resources designed to empower you to combat cyberbullying, vaping, and sexting. 

* WHEN: Monday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m., Wheaton North High School, 701 W. Thomas Road, Wheaton.

City Hall Will Be Closed October 27 for Cleanup Day

* City staff will clean and organize records, files, office spaces, and public areas at City Hall. 

* Customers may pay utilities at the Police Station or use the water payment drop box located outside City Hall's Manning Avenue entrance.

* City Hall will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 30.

Spooktacular Halloween Party

* WHAT: VFW Halloween Party with food, fun, games, and prizes.

Kids come dressed up in your Halloween costume. Costume contest for kids up to age 10. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place.

Hines VA donations will be collected. Please bring trial or travel size toiletries for the women at Hines VA. 

* WHEN: Sunday, October 29, 1:00-3:00 p.m.

* WHERE: Warrenville Veteran's Center, 3S371 Mignin Drive.

Pumpkin Smash Coming Up

* WHAT: Bring your pumpkin to one of the local pumpkin smash locations. Last year SCARCE composted over 232 tons of pumpkins. 

* WHEN: Most events will be held Saturday, November 4.
