February Celebrations

* The City's Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Awareness Commission honors federally recognized heritage and history months throughout the year as part of our commitment to building an inclusive community that values diversity. 

* In February, we recognize Black History Month and pay tribute to the generations of African Americans who struggled with adversity to achieve full citizenship in American society.

* Find resources on exhibits, collections, audio, and video at: Black History Month.

THINGS TO DO...

Become an Amphibian Monitor

* WHAT: The Forest Preserve District needs dedicated volunteers to monitor amphibian populations throughout DuPage County.

* WHEN: Monitoring takes place at night March through July. Ages 18 and up.

* DETAILS: You must complete one online training workshop in February. Find the schedule at: Training Workshops.

Telecommunications Tax Rebate for Seniors

* Applications are due April 30 for senior citizens to be reimbursed for Telecommunications Taxes. 

* Qualifying seniors have a total household income of $40,000 or less in the previous calendar year.
