You're Invited: Census Bureau Hiring Sessions in Warrenville! 

* WHAT: Find out how you can become a U.S. Census Bureau worker and help Warrenville with this year's Special Census.

* WHEN: Monday, February 12 at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

* TOPICS: Learn what Census field workers do, and apply for a job on-site. U.S. Census Bureau staff are available to answer questions and help with applications.

* APPLY to join the census team at: Special Census.

Save the Date: Annual State of the City Address

* Hear about the accomplishments during the past year, get updates about current projects, and learn about the City's goals for the current year.

* Wednesday, February 28, held in City Hall Council Chambers, 28W701 Stafford Place: 

* 6:00 p.m., Refreshments sponsored by Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce.

* 6:30 p.m., State of the City Address.

We're Hiring: Public Works Seasonal Workers for Summer 

* Duties include:

  • Grounds maintenance, including watering, mowing, and trimming.
  • Repairing and maintaining municipal streets, sidewalks, or buildings.
  • Assisting with community events. 
  • 40 hours per week: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

* Must be at least 18 years old with a valid IL Driver's License. Apply at: Seasonal Workers

City Hall Offices, Police lobby Closed Presidents Day

* City Hall offices and the Police Department lobby will be closed for President’s Day, Monday, February 19.

* Garbage collection remains on the regular Thursday/Friday schedule.

* The City Council meeting that week will be held Tuesday, February 20 at 7:00 p.m.

* For police assistance during closed lobby hours, please use the red telephone between the front entrance doors or dial 9-1-1 from your cell phone. Police emergency response will not be affected.

* WHAT: Warrenville PD Badges and FPD Hoses will brave cold weather and freezing water to raise money for Special Olympics.

* WHEN: Saturday, March 9, 11:00 a.m. in the parking lot across from City Hall, 28W701 Stafford Place.

* DONATE NOW: You can donate to any member of the team at: Polar Plunge

City Seeks Volunteers for Strategic Plan Focus Groups

* The City is beginning work on a new strategic plan that will set the direction for high-level goals and action items for the next five years.

* We will hold public focus groups in March consisting of 20 participants each.
