Hearing for Gas Station Plan Continues to December 19 

* The proposal for a gas station/convenience store/Dunkin' donuts drive-through at the northwest corner of Butterfield and Batavia roads had its first Plan Commission hearing August 22.

* Nearly 60 residents shared their concerns about the project during the August meeting.

* This hearing will be continued to the December 19 Plan Commission/Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting. 

* The developer wants time to respond to the comments made at the August hearing.

New Mailing Address for Water and Sewer Bills

* We have a new mailing address for water and sewer bills: P.O. Box 88080, Chicago, IL 60680-1080.

* Residents will be notified of this change with November's bill.

* Fifth Third Bank changed the address to improve payment processing. The change goes into effect with this month's bill.

* Any payments sent to the previous lockbox address in Carol Stream will still be processed through January 30, 2025.

Toys for Tots Campaign Runs Through December 11

* Help make this year's Toys for Tots campaign a success!

* DONATE: Unwrapped toys in original packaging, for newborns through 12 years old.

* WHEN: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. until 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11.

* WHERE: Warrenville Police Department, 3S245 Warren Avenue.

* ITEMS ACCEPTED: 

* new unwrapped toys

* hand-held electronics

* jewelry sets

* cosmetics

* arts and crafts

* model kits

* creative/educational toys

* athletic equipment

* DONATE ONLINE: Mark the checkbox for "I'm donating on behalf of a company or organization" and enter "IL-Warrenville" as the "Organization Name" at: Toys for Tots

Recycle Political Signs

* You can drop off corrugated plastic and cardboard signs and metal stands at this upcoming event. Separate metal stands from the signs before you drop them off.

* DATES: 3:00-5:30  p.m. Friday, November 15

9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16

* WHERE: DuPage County Campus, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton. Follow the "Recycling Event" signs.

Alebrije Art Dedication Set for November 16 at Library

* Join Warrenville Public Library District for a special dedication of their new owl sculpture! 

* Commissioned by the City of Warrenville’s Tourism and Arts Commission in conjunction with the Mexican Cultural Center of DuPage, this beautiful piece of art was created specifically for the library by Mexican artist Edgar Camergo Reyes.

* Sara Phalen, director of the Warrenville Historical Museum & Art Gallery and the West Chicago City Museum, will share a brief history of alebrije art. 

* Refreshments provided.
