The City of Warrenville is looking for an Economic Development Specialist to support and implement economic development strategies for the City of Warrenville. 

The specialist will: 

  • collaborate with local businesses
  • enhance business opportunities
  • promote long-term business success and growth

We're looking for someone with a passion for economic development, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a desire to make a positive difference in our community.

Coal Tar Ban Update

The City prohibits the sale and use of coal-tar-based pavement sealant products due to their harmful, carcinogenic chemical compounds. 

Who Does This Apply To?

  • Homeowners
  • Business and property owners
  • HOAs
  • Contractors

Key Requirements for Contractors:

  • City License Needed
  • Cost: $100
  • License expires annually on December 31.
  • Apply for a license: Pavement Sealcoat/Sealant License

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service January 20

The Martin Luther King, Jr., Day of Service is the only federal holiday that is also designated by Congress as a national day of service. 

Things you can do:

• Donate or volunteer with food banks and pantries

• Deliver meals and groceries to seniors

• Check on your neighbors, friends, and family, especially those who are older or maybe alone. A phone call, text, or a conversation could brighten their day

• Serve in your community - Giving DuPage lists hundreds of ways to give back at: Volunteer

The City's Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Awareness Commission (IDEC) welcomes feedback, ideas, and suggestions to further the mission of inclusivity and respect for all in Warrenville. Submit comments to: idec@warrenville.il.us
