Vegetation Management Coming Soon

To help prevent power outages, ComEd will treat select trees and plants near power lines in our area between July and September 2025.

Qualified, state-licensed crews will apply herbicides within ComEd’s transmission rights of way.

These treatments help stop re-growth after tree removal, reduce tall vegetation that could interfere with power lines, and control invasive species—all while protecting people, pets, and wildlife.

Affected property owners have already been notified directly. Their notice included how to get more information, appeal the work, or contact the Illinois Commerce Commission.

Learn more about ComEd’s vegetation program on their website.

Collecting Data for the City's ADA Transition Plan

You may see people taking photos of sidewalks and curbs around Warrenville as part of the City’s work to improve accessibility.

A team from Quality Counts will help us collect important data for Warrenville’s ADA Transition Plan, which focuses on making sidewalks, curb ramps, and street crossings safer and easier to use for everyone.

You may notice them using their phones to take photos and record conditions in the public right-of-way—this is all part of the evaluation process.

* They will collect sidewalk and curb ramp data.

* They will conduct street crossing evaluations.

Data collection is underway and will continue until the end of July.

They will wear safety vests and a company ID and have a letter from the City.
