We're Hiring: Public Works Utility Division Crew Leader

The City is looking for a skilled and motivated leader to join our Public Works team!

As the Utility Division Crew Leader, you’ll oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our water and sanitary sewer systems. 

This is a hands-on role that involves supervising staff, ensuring safety, and keeping things running smoothly for our community.

🛠️ Full-time position

📅 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. (with some after-hours as needed)

Cenacle Trail at Blackwell Forest Preserve is closed while for work on the trail and bridge.

Blackwell Forest Preserve Work Closes Cenacle Trail 

Starting Monday, July 21, the Cenacle Trail at Blackwell Forest Preserve closed for safety while the Forest Preserve District works along Spring Brook.

Crews will:

• Stabilize stream banks to prevent erosion

• Replace a 100-year-old bridge over the creek

The trail is expected to remain closed through late fall 2025.

Looking for an alternate route? Use the existing trail link along Batavia and Butterfield roads.

Buy second hand or recycled back to school items like paper, pens, and backpacks to help save the environment.

If you are wondering if an older loved one should move into a nursing home, an assisted-living facility, or remain at home with services, DuPage County Community Services' Choices for Care coordinators can help. 

They can assess your loved one’s needs and offer options.

This award-winning celebration includes music, a free food truck meal, face painting, touch a truck, K9 demonstration, information booths, kids' activities, and a Dunk-A-Cop fundraiser for Special Olympics IL!

Be sure to stop by the Police Department tent for giveaways and to meet the officers who protect our community.

The fall trail cleanup is Saturday, September 27, 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Trail Cleanup Set for Saturday, September 27

Help work together as a community to maintain Warrenville's beautiful trails, pathways, and sidewalks. 

The City of Warrenville's Bicyclist and Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC) seeks volunteers for the annual Fall Trail Cleanup. 

This year's event will run from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27. 

Participants will meet at the intersection of Warrenville and Batavia roads at 9:00 a.m. 

BPAC will provide trash bags and gloves, but feel free to bring your own.
