Warrenville Friends of the 4th Committee is recognized for their work on the City's annual celebration.

Help Friends of the 4th With America's 250th Celebration

Mayor Johnson and the City Council recognized the Warrenville Friends of the 4th Committee for their dedication to planning the City’s annual Independence Day festivities.

The Friends were on hand at this week’s City Council meeting as the Mayor read a proclamation supporting their efforts and the statewide Illinois America250 commemoration.

The year 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, a milestone that celebrates our nation’s founding and enduring democratic spirit.

The Friends of the 4th are already preparing for this once-in-a-generation event, with plans to make Warrenville’s celebration bigger and better than ever - featuring the traditional July 3 parade and July 4 music, food, and fireworks at Cerny Park.

To make it happen, they need community support:

• Donate Now

• Volunteer: FriendsofJuly4th@gmail.com

Together, we can help make Warrenville’s 250th Independence Day celebration one to remember!

City Halloween Trick or Treat hours: 3:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, October 31.

A blue recycling cart with cartoon eyes and white gloves smiles with its lid open, showing a can labeled “Sparkling Water Grapefruit.” Next to it are recyclable items: envelopes, a glass jar, a cardboard box, and a plastic milk jug. Text reads: “Feed The Cart … all his favorites!” and “FeedTheCart.org” with a recycling symbol.

Feed the Cart: Recycle Right

Meet Loop: Warrenville’s recycling cart with a big appetite!

He loves all your recyclable favorites: cardboard boxes, plastic bottles and jugs, metal cans, and glass jars.
