    3. Select Application Type

    4. Select the appropriate permit application for your proposed project. The Permit Application for Construction or Use is the most common selection

    5. This option is for most projects including new construction, repairs, and alterations

    6. This section provides us with the location and contact information of your project.

    7. The Applicant is the contact person for the proposed project. All correspondences will be directed to the Applicant

    8. City staff will communicate approvals or questions through this email address.

    9. If text number is provided staff will notify you via text in lieu of email when your permit is approved.

    10. Check only one

    11. Type "Self" if same as Applicant.

    12. Type "Same" if same as Applicant Address

    14. This section provides us with an understanding of your project and the scope of work. Please provide sufficient detail in the "Project Description " box.

    15. Materials & Labor Cost

    16. Provide square feet of new new construction project or alteration area.

    17. Provide a brief description to help us understand the scope of your project.

    18. NOTE! Permit will not be processed until required documents have been received by the Building Department. Whenever possible submit original PDF as scanned documents may not be measurable for staff review. If submittal requires additional files, use the Additional Document Upload box below.

    19. In the event you are unable to submit documents through this application please check box indicating that you will be submitting support documents in person or delivery service (USPS, FedEx, Etc.).

    20. Use this space for for other comments or questions.

    21. Currently, the Warrenville Fire Protection District is not set up for accepting electronic plan reviews. If your project included fire suppression or alarm systems, you must submit those documents in paper form to the Fire District.

    22. This section for contractor information. If homeowner is doing the work, type self in contractor name and proceed to Section 4.

    23. Select one of the two options.

    24. Electrical Contractors are required to by registered with the City of Warrenville. You may use the link at the bottom of this section if electrical contractor is NOT registered with the City of Warrenville.

    25. Plumbing Contractors must provide a copy of current Illinois plumbing license and a Letter of Intent as required by the State of Illinois.

      Roofing contractors must provide an Illinois State Limited or Unlimited Roofing License

    26. Contracted roofer are required by State law to provide their license number on the permit.

    27. By initialing and dating, the applicant agrees to the conditions of the permit.

    28. Most permits are reviewed and issued within two weeks of the Building Division recieving all the approved documents. Projects requiring engineering, zoning, and/or fire protection reviews may take longer. Failure to submit all required documents for the plan review will cause delays in the review process. Applicants will be contacted via email. Permits not picked up within 180 days of approval are considered expired and will be disposed of.

    29. To be calculated and are due at permit issuance.

    30. 180 days from issuance, unless proof of ongoing work progression is provided. If project is not complete prior to expiration date, the applicant may provide a written request for one extension. Failure to submit a written request for an extension will result in an automatic expiration. Expired permits may require completion permits with an additional 25% fee charged.

    31. By executing this document Property Owner/Applicant acknowledges his/her understanding that (i) the City typically attaches specific Permit Conditions or Building Code Review Compliance Requirements to issued Permits, of which the Owner must comply, (ii) all applicable City Permit fees are due and payable, and (iii) all required City inspections are to be scheduled by the applicant and performed by the City.

    32. Owner and applicant signatures will be required for permit issuance.
