Welcome to the City of Warrenville E-Permit page. If you looking for further information regarding permits, please click the above link. If you are ready to apply for a permit then select the appropriate application for your proposed project in Section 1. The Permit Application for Construction or Use is the application to select unless a specific project is listed within Section 1. Upon completing the application, click the submit button and your permit will be processed. When all the proper documents are submitted, most permits can be approved in about two weeks or less. Payment is made in person when the permit is picked up. A separate permit application is required for each project.

This option is for electrical contractors registering to do electrical work in the City of Warrenville. General or Electrical contractors may also register in the Permit Application for Construction for Use application in conjunction with a specific project.

Currently, the Warrenville Fire Protection District is not set up for accepting electronic plan reviews. Commercial projects often require a review by the Warrenville Fire Protection District. Applicants applying for permits to add, alter, repair or a commercial structure are required to submit documents in paper form to the Fire District.

Plumbing Contractors must provide a copy of current Illinois plumbing license and a Letter of Intent as required by the State of Illinois.
Roofing contractors must provide an Illinois State Limited or Unlimited Roofing License
Contracted roofer are required by State law to provide their license number on the permit.
By initialing and dating, the applicant agrees to the conditions of the permit.
Most permits are reviewed and issued within two weeks of the Building Division recieving all the approved documents. Projects requiring engineering, zoning, and/or fire protection reviews may take longer. Failure to submit all required documents for the plan review will cause delays in the review process. Applicants will be contacted via email. Permits not picked up within 180 days of approval are considered expired and will be disposed of.

180 days from issuance, unless proof of ongoing work progression is provided. If project is not complete prior to expiration date, the applicant may provide a written request for one extension. Failure to submit a written request for an extension will result in an automatic expiration. Expired permits may require completion permits with an additional 25% fee charged.
By executing this document Property Owner/Applicant acknowledges his/her understanding that (i) the City typically attaches specific Permit Conditions or Building Code Review Compliance Requirements to issued Permits, of which the Owner must comply, (ii) all applicable City Permit fees are due and payable, and (iii) all required City inspections are to be scheduled by the applicant and performed by the City.
