1) Submit a completed Freedom of Information Act form online or in person at the Police Department. Once the completed form is received, the department will have five business days to respond. The cost of each individual report is $5.
2) Accident reports may also be purchased and printed on-line from buycrash.com. A $10 fee is required to use this provider’s service. All reports purchased online are redacted in accordance with FOIA guidelines. Purchase an on-line accident report here
The fee for residents and in-town business employees is $15, and a $25 fee applies to all non-residents. Accepted forms of payment include cash, personal check, as well as Visa, Master Card, and Discover credit cards. You will be asked to provide photo identification, proof of your current address, and your own fingerprint card. If a fingerprint card has not been supplied to you, they are available from the Federal Bureau of Investigation web-site. Only cards printed on hard stock will be accepted.
