Door-to-Door Solicitor Rules & Approved List of Vendors

Home Spotlights Posted on May 28, 2025

Did you know that all solicitors in the City require a permit?

Solicitors must apply for and be approved for a permit to solicit in Warrenville.

  • Door-to-door solicitors within the City must honor "No Solicitors" signs
  • Each solicitor should have a visible photo badge/credentials and a valid City permit.

A City solicitor badge indicates that the solicitor is licensed and registered with the City, but is not an endorsement of the individual, company, products or services.

  • The Police Department fingerprints, photographs, and performs background checks on all applicants
  • Solicitors can go door-to-door seven days a week and on holidays from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

There are no licensed solicitors approved to go door-to-door as of February 23, 2026.

If you have concerns regarding door-to-door solicitors and/or questions regarding the authenticity of their license, call 911 for Police assistance.
