City Discontinues Battery Recycling Service

Home Spotlights Posted on April 11, 2023

Effective immediately, the City will suspend the residential battery recycling service that had been available at City Hall.

Staff must assess the new requirements for collection as well as the costs involved. We will provide an update if and when the City resumes the residential battery recycling service.

To learn how you can recycle your residential batteries - except alkaline batteries - contact the Regional Household Hazardous Waste Facility in Naperville, 156 Fort Hill Drive. The facility is open most Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
