Home Spotlights Posted on May 05, 2023

A safety reminder from Warrenville Police Department: With so much going on around us, it's easy to lose focus. Here are some tips for your home, your car, and for when you're out in public.

YOUR HOME:

  • Lock all doors
  • Keep outside lights on
  • Close and lock first-floor windows
  • Pick up belongings from your yard

YOUR CAR:

  • Lock your car
  • Remove items of value - wallets, purses, electronics, money, jewelry, sports equipment, keys, and garage door openers

PERSONAL:

  • Be aware of the people around you
  • Don't use items that block your hearing, such as ear buds
  • Take a fully charged phone with you, but don't let it distract you
  • Trust your instincts if a situation makes you uncomfortable and change direction
