Yard waste pickup resumes April 1

Yard waste collection in Warrenville runs from April 1 through November 30. To set your yard waste out for pickup, just attach a yard waste sticker to either:

  • Yard waste bags
  • Your own 32-gallon rigid container

You can buy stickers at:

  • City Hall – 3S258 Manning Avenue
  • Hometown Pantry – 3S029 Route 59
  • Ace Hardware – 2S541 Route 59
  • Jewel – 177 E. Roosevelt Rd, West Chicago

Want a more convenient option? You can subscribe to a yard waste toter service through Groot (630-892-9294). Bonus: the toter service also lets you include food scraps for composting!

Spring brush pickup starts April 6

Help keep pickups safe and efficient! If your pile doesn’t meet these guidelines, it won’t be collected:

  • Bundle brush with twine (no wire)
  • Keep bundles under 50 lbs
  • Set out by 7:00 AM on pickup day
  • Limit: One pile per address
  • Max pile size: 3ft high × 8ft wide × 15ft long
  • Branches: Max 8 inches in diameter, max 8 feet long
  • Cut ends must face the street
  • No logs, lumber, yard waste, thorns, or root balls
  • No plastic bags or containers
  • Small brush under 2 ft = Yard waste (bagged with sticker for garbage pickup)

If your pile doesn’t follow these rules, it won’t be picked up. You’ll get a notice and need to contact Public Works once it’s corrected.
