Deputy Chief Dawson is a 24-year veteran of the Police Department, who serves as the Deputy Chief of Investigations and Administration, and prior to his current position, served as the Detective Sergeant.
As the Deputy Chief of Investigations he oversees the Investigations Division, which consists of a Sergeant, three Detectives, and two Problem Oriented Police Officers. As the Deputy Chief of Administration, he oversees a full-time Community Service Technician, and the Records Division which consists of a Records Supervisor and two full-time Records Assistants.
