City Discontinues Battery Recycling Service

Home Spotlights Posted on June 02, 2025

Effective immediately, the City will pause its residential battery recycling service at City Hall while staff reviews new collection requirements and explores ways to bring the program back.

We will provide an update if and when the City resumes the residential battery recycling service.

To learn how you can recycle your residential batteries - except alkaline batteries - contact the Regional Household Hazardous Waste Facility in Naperville, 156 Fort Hill Drive. The facility is open most Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
