All door-to-door solicitors are required to get a license from the City and display their ID when they work. Before the City issues a license the Police Department fingerprints, photographs, and performs background checks on all applicants. No trespassing or soliciting allowed notice.

Solicitors can go door-to-door seven days a week, and on holidays, from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

In addition:

  • Residents who don’t want to be approached by solicitors should post “No Solicitation or Trespassing Allowed” notices by their doors.
  • Or, you may ask the solicitor to leave.
  • Solicitors who do not comply with your posted notice or your request to leave are violating the terms of their license. If that happens, please call 9-1-1 and the police will respond.
  • "No solicitation" notices are available at City Hall, 3S258 Manning Avenue, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
