Batavia Road between Warrenville Road and Manning Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15 for up to two weeks. This will impact access to driveways/properties along that route.
July 22 update:
- Pavement removal has been completed from Route 56/Butterfield Road to Warrenville Road.
- Road patching began Friday, July 19.
- Batavia Road remains closed from Manning Avenue to Warrenville Road while work continues.
July 18 update:
- Pavement removal has been completed from Route 56/Butterfield Road to Warrenville Road.
- Street cleaning is taking place.
- Road patching begins Friday, July 19.
- Road paving is scheduled to begin Monday, July 22.
- Batavia Road remains closed from Manning Avenue to Warrenville Road while work continues.
July 15 update:
- Preparation for pavement removal will continue through Tuesday, July 16.
- Pavement Removal is currently scheduled for Wednesday, July 17.
- Residents can drive dawn Batavia to their properties Monday night and Tuesday night but should be out by 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 17.
Project highlights:
- During the road closure, residents, employees, and business customers may park on streets connecting to Batavia Road.
- Concrete sidewalk work will be completed prior to the road closure to ensure pedestrian access is provided to residents and businesses.
- Engineering Resource Associates (ERA) and City staff will work with the post office to ensure as few mail delivery disruptions as possible, but delivery may not take place every day.
- Garbage and recycling pickup will be scheduled for 6:00 a.m. on Friday mornings during the closure.
- Other types of large deliveries should be planned outside of the road closure dates, if possible.
