[ARCHIVED] Be Sign Savvy This Election Season

With the upcoming elections, political signs have been accumulating around the City. Before you post, learn the requirements for signs:

  • Signs 16 square feet or larger require a permit
  • Signs less than 16 square feet can be placed on private property with the owner’s permission
  • Signs on private property must remain one foot from the property line
  • Signs are not permitted on the right of way
  • Signs cannot be attached to trees, utility poles, or traffic control devices
  • Multiple signs less than 16 square feet sharing the same support structure are considered as one sign
