[ARCHIVED] How to Avoid Single-Use Plastic in Everyday Life

An image of a plastic bag littering a lawn.

Single-use plastic is one of the greatest challenges we face.
Plastic bags never go away, but turn into little pieces of plastic that live on in soil, air, water, and bodies. These microplastics can become a potential health risk for wildlife and humans.
What can we do? We can make a difference by changing our habits:
don't use single-use bags, straws, and utensils
• change buying habits to avoid plastic
• choose products packaged in glass, metal, paper, or other more natural materials
