Box of Fireworks image

Beginning June 1st and continuing into July, the Police Department will conduct a special campaign to remind residents and visitors that possession or use of illegal fireworks is against City Code, a code in place to protect the safety of all persons.  As part of this effort, Warrenville police officers will be handing out informational flyers during traffic stops that address the City’s fireworks code, the enforcement of it, and fines.  Confiscated or fireworks voluntarily turned in will be safely destroyed through the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office.  If you have illegal fireworks you would like to turn in to be destroyed, please contact the Police Department non-emergency at 630-393-2131.   *Please do not bring fireworks into the police station.*
