On Friday, August 20th from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Warrenville police officers will participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois (SOI) fundraising event.  This event (formerly known as Cop on Rooftop) is in partnership with SOI and Dunkin' Donuts, and will be held at Dunkin Donuts locations throughout the State.  Warrenville police officers will be  in front of the Warrenville Dunkin’ Donuts stores (28W125 Warrenville Road and 2S721 IL Route 59) in hopes to bring awareness and raise money for these amazing Illinois athletes.

Everyone who makes a donation at the event will receive a coupon for a free donut.  Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois specially designed t-shirts, baseball caps and pins will also be available for purchase.  ALL proceeds benefit SOI athletes!

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the single largest year-round fundraising movement benefiting SOI, a not for profit organization that offers year-round training and sports competitions for athletes of all ages with intellectual disabilities.  The organization also reaches out to Young Athletes between the ages of two and seven, with or without intellectual disabilities.  SOI does not charge athletes or their families to participate in their program.
