[ARCHIVED] Ride DuPage Bus/Taxi and Uber Programs for Warrenville Seniors

Ride DuPage service

Did you know? There are Ride DuPage Bus/Taxi and Uber Programs for Warrenville seniors age 65 and older and people with disabilities.

Ride DuPage Bus/Taxi Service: 

  • Get transportation service from your home to any location in DuPage County, 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week.
  • The program costs a flat fee of $2 plus an additional $1 per mile travelled. You must have the exact fare in cash upon pick up.
  • Eligibility: residents who are 65 or older, or those with an RTA card for people with disabilities.
  • Program subsidized by Pace Suburban Bus Service and the City of Warrenville.

How to sign up for Ride DuPage Bus/Taxi:

  • Complete an application and send to: City of Warrenville, ATTN: Ride DuPage, 3S258 Manning Ave., Warrenville, IL 60555.
  • Or email to dherrera@warrenville.il.us.
  • It takes 5-7 days for an application to be processed before you can use Ride DuPage services.

NEW pilot program: Ride DuPage Uber Access:

  • Schedule same-day rides using your personal Uber app on your smartphone, booking on Uber's website, or by calling GoGoGrandparent to request a ride.
  • 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week, and no limit on number of trips per day.
  • Wheelchair or lift-equipped vehicles are not available for this program.
  • Trips must start and end in DuPage County.
  • Rider will pay up to the first $5.00 of the fare. Sponsors subsidize up to $25.00 of the remaining cost of the fare. If the trip cost is over $30.00, the rider will pay the rest of the fare.
  • Program subsidized by Pace Suburban Bus Service and the City of Warrenville.

How to get started with Ride DuPage Uber Access:

  • Existing Ride DuPage participants can contact the City of Warrenville at (630) 836-3027 and let them know you want to sign up for the Ride DuPage Uber Access Pilot Program.
  • If you are not registered for Ride DuPage with the City of Warrenville, fill out an application. On the application, check the “YES” box for Ride DuPage Uber Access.
