Update on Cantera Point Townhome Proposal
The developer of the proposed Cantera Point townhome development on MaeCliff Drive has requested a continuation of the public hearing, which was originally scheduled for May 22, 2025 and then pushed to june. The Plan Commission/Zoning Board of Appeals (PC/ZBA) will continue the case to its meeting on Thursday, July 10, 2025.
The developer is seeking additional time to address concerns raised by residents in April and to potentially revise the project plans.
At the April 24 hearing, many residents attended and shared concerns about the proposal for 102 townhomes. Topics raised included:
- Project density
- Increased traffic and related safety issues
- Impact on public services
- Compatibility with the surrounding neighborhood
The public is welcome to attend the July 10 meeting to share additional comments. That meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 28W701 Stafford Place.
Updated materials from the petitioner and a staff report will be available on the City’s website by Thursday, July 3. The project is also on the City's website at: https://www.warrenville.il.us/974/Cantera-Point-Townhomes
