[ARCHIVED] Brush Pickup Guidelines

Fall brush pick-up starts September 8th, and occurs on Mondays through the end of October (if Monday is a holiday, pick-up will be the following Tuesday). Instructions on how to prepare a brush pile and pick-up schedule can be found on under Our Community> Resident Services> Garbage, Recycling, and Yard Waste, Brush Pickups and Woods Chips (LINK: https://www.warrenville.il.us/418/Brush-Pickups---Wood-Chips). 

Brush pick-up is limited to trimmings from bushes or shrubs, and branches from trimming and pruning trees. Observe the following guidelines in preparing a brush pile for pick-up:

Preparing for Pick-up

  • Put out brush prior to 7:00 a.m. on the day of your scheduled pick-up day (LINK) 
  • Only one pile of trimmed brush will be picked up per address
  • Brush pile should not contain logs, lumber, yard waste, thorns, or root-balls
  • Brush pile should not be larger than 3’ high by 8’ wide by 15’ long
  • Each branch/limb does not exceed 8 inches in diameter
  • Each branch/limb does not exceed 8 feet in length
  • Cut ends extend toward the street
