Meetings take place at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise scheduled, and may be held at either of the following locations:

Authority and Responsibilities

The Board of Fire and Police Commission (BOFPC) of the City of Warrenville derives its authority from the Illinois Municipal Code, Illinois Compiled Statutes and from City of Warrenville Municipal Code. Their responsibilities include the following:

  • To recruit, select, and appoint qualified candidates to fill v
  • To recruit, select, and appoint qualified candidates to fill vacancies for original appointment of Police Officer.
  • acancies for original appointment of Police Officer.
  • To determine testing and selection processes that allow qualified employees to participate in the promotional process for the position of Sergeant in the Police Department.
  • To conduct disciplinary hearings or appeals of disciplinary action in the Police Department.

The Board is not responsible for appointing the Chief of Police, which is a Mayoral appointment, or the Deputy Chiefs of Police, who are appointed by the Chief of Police.
